Description
Rexistences is a book by Valerio Nicolosi
Rexistences is a collection of stories told slowly and, in a whisper, of men and women who fight every day to reclaim their existence and who struggle in a society in a world of consumption and exploitation of man by man and of nature by man.
The book tells about experiences of resistance and fight through nine different countries situated in three continents, a global work made over thirty years of travels.
But what does it mean to resist, today?
It means to unite people (not only virtually), to walk together and to create a common feeling and to build it up, step by step, and not only to say “NO”, as mass movements in Europe are often are accused of.
To resist, today, means building pockets of territory or population where market mechanisms are left out, where people fight for something that is a common good or simply propose a perspective and a way out from this development model.
